BPGCD Well Water Quality Testing Request

Please note that Blanco-Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District is not a certified laboratory and the results provided are furnished solely for the benefit of the addressee above. The District disclaims any liability for the testing, analysis, and report to every person whatsoever, including, without limitations, the addressee herein.
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE TAKING YOUR SAMPLE
- Sample must be taken in a plastic sample bottle provided by BPGCD. We cannot accept a sample in any other container.
- Do not open sample bottle before you are ready to take your sample.
- Samples are accepted by BPGCD on Wednesday ONLY from 8am-2pm. Take samples within 2 hours of dropping off.
- Choose a faucet closest to your well and before any treatment systems such as water softeners. Remove any hoses or other attachments.
- Disinfect faucet using a disinfecting wipe such as Lysol disinfecting wipes. Wipe the outside of the faucet around the opening. Wipe the inside as far in as possible.
- Failure to disinfect will result in an inaccurate test result.
- Turn on cold water at full force and let it run for at least 3 minutes.
- After 3 minutes, reduce to a small stream.
- Open sample bottle, being careful not to touch the inside of the bottle or cap.
- Fill bottle completely and close.
- Keep sample cold on ice and deliver to BPGCD office within 2 hours.
- Lab processing fees are payable by CHECK and due at the time of drop off.
